    Good morning everyone,
As we look forward to 2026, nitrogen is a very serious issue that should be closely examined. In fact, I would argue that we should consider nitrogen use efficiency and water use efficiency as fundamentals we should start mastering even this fall.

As I’ve been studying and researching nitrogen, I’ve learned that not all nitrogen is created equal. I’ve also learned that the type of nitrogen we should apply at the beginning of the season is NOT the same nitrogen we should apply later in the season (for example, brown silk).

On Wednesday, October 29th, our organization Avant is hosting a web event that will dive into this subject in more detail. We’ll look at the traditional nitrogen conversion cycle and the immense energy required to manage it. In response, we’ll introduce everyone to alternative nitrogen sources that can eliminate leaching while greatly improving plant health!

There’s no need to register, just click the link on this page to join the event October 29th at 6:00 PM Central Time. Link to join the online event.

In addition, Avant has created a full line of alternative products, so reach out to me personally at kylen@avantagtech.com to learn more about how we can help you farm for profit by changing the way we manage our inputs!
