My name is Kylen Hunt, Co-Founder of Avant, an organization focused on two PRIMARY things.
1. Farming for Profit – Everything in life is created to produce a return. Crop production is the the ultimate example. We plant one seed and expect 800 in return!
2. Changing the way crop inputs are managed – After 20 years of managing water, I’ve learned a LOT about managing every input. Due to the fact that every input (herbicide, fungicide, nutrient, seed, biological, water, etc) is directly effected by the water / oxygen relationship within the soil.
This is even more true when managing nitrogen. As we all know, nitrogen is highly mobile in the soil. Therefore to manage nitrogen, we must first learn to manage water at the highest level!
In the next few weeks I’ll be posting a few videos and articles around water/nitrogen in this forum. I’ll also invite some independent educators who are directly aligned with the purpose of Avant. To farm for profit should be the goal of every producer!
Oh, by the way, want in on a little secret? The largest percentage of top producers have mastered the art of minimal nitrogen application! More coming soon!
